Built backstage, not in a boardroom.
ScoreHQ started with one frustrated volunteer, a stack of paper scoresheets, and a final result that took forty minutes too long to announce.
"I built the tool I wished someone had handed me."
In 2017, Jayesh Mistry was volunteering at a community pageant when the judging panel's paper scoresheets were dropped backstage minutes before the final results were due on stage. The team spent the next half hour re-adding columns by hand while a sold-out room waited.
That night became the first version of ScoreHQ — a simple way for judges to score independently and have the totals ready the instant the last sheet was in. Word spread between event organisers, and the same platform now runs scoring for some of New Zealand's largest pageants and dance competitions.

Three things every event deserves.
Accuracy, always
A judging result is only as good as its math. Every score, weight and round total is calculated the same precise way, every time.
Fair to every judge
Independent scoring, no shared sheets. Every judge's voice carries equal, transparent weight in the final result.
Ready the moment the show ends
No event should wait forty minutes for a result. ScoreHQ tallies live, so the announcement is ready when you are.
Defensible under audit
Every score is timestamped and logged the moment it's entered. When a result is challenged, the record speaks for itself.
